Work day: 26/08/2026 (Wednesday)

We will be meeting at 10.00 a.m. at the entrance in Woodland Way and the tasks for the day are as follows:

(1) To cut back any vegetation encroaching or overhanging the paths particularly the bottom path.

(2) There is also a tree leaning over the bottom path which may also need cutting back.

(3) Sherwood Glade can now be brushcut/scythed and raked or perhaps mowed using the Metro Mower.

(4) The pond needs to be cleared of debris.

(5) The DED Elms, Wych Elms and Scot Pine may also need some more watering depending on how much rain we get between now and the work day.

Any help you can give with the above no matter how much or how little is always very much appreciated - an hour or two of your time can make all the difference as to whether the task(s) planned for the day get done. As usual FoF will be providing all the necessary tools for the task but please would you bring your own gloves and tools (shears and loppers) if you have them. Please would you also bring your own wipes and hand gel as well as your own refreshments. Please also remember to wear long trousers/jeans to avoid getting bitten by ticks but FoF’s First Aid kit does contain tick removers if needed.

Please would you let Roger Crabb (rjcrabb@talktalk.net) know if you will be able to make the work day - many thanks.
