Special Work Day
A team of volunteers from The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) led by Jane Hymas will be coming next Wednesday to help with the resurfacing of the top path with MOT No.1 Limestone Scalpings. We will be meeting the volunteers at 10.00 a.m. at the entrance in Woodland Way and it would great to have as many FoF volunteers as possible also attend the work day to welcome the TCV volunteers and assist with the resurfacing work.
Any help you can give no matter how much or how little is always very much appreciated - an hour or two of your time can make all the difference as to whether the task planned for the day gets done. As usual FoF will be providing all the necessary tools for the task but please would you bring your own gloves and tools (shovels/spades and metal rakes for the path surfacing) if you have them. Please would you also bring your own wipes and hand gel as well as your own refreshments. Please also remember to wear long trousers/jeans to avoid getting bitten by ticks but FoF’s First Aid kit does contain tick removers if needed.
Please let me (chrispm_parker@hotmail.co.uk) know if you will be able to make the work day - many thanks.
