We have received a number of requesta for split logs but now so, with no bags left in stock, we will be meeting at 10.00 a.m. at the entrance in Woodland Way to bag up another 40. Whilst a lot of brushcutting work was carried out on the last work day the large Juniper compound near the Butterfly Glade still needs to be brushcut and raked. The vegetation encroaching the individual Junipers located in the Butterfly Glade also needs to be cut back and removed and the Butterfly Soil Inversion by the Children's Playground in Higher Drive Recreation Ground also still needs to be scythed and raked.
Whilst we were brushcutting the Butterfly Glade on the last workday our new member Agne spotted five Oak seedlings growing in the glade which have been marked and in a separate e-mail Anthony has suggested these should be moved together with those located in the glade next to the Juniper Glade and be used to fill in gaps created by the Ash Dieback felling.
